My firsthand experience with arranging cross-border vehicle transportation highlighted the stress of securing a timely, transparent booking. This fueled my drive to revolutionize the industry, crafting a solution that saves time and effort while maximizing logistics efficiency. Be it for individuals or businesses, the emphasis remains on a customer-centric approach, tailoring every step to enhance their experience.

WHAT PROBLEMS AM I TRYING TO SOLVE?
Both senders and receivers lack a unified and comprehensive tool to efficiently plan vehicle deliveries, often resorting to multiple companies and resources for coordination.
Imagine the scenario of booking a car delivery with manual coordination across multiple calls, which could result in delays and confusion. Without a centralized tool, tracking progress and ensuring timely deliveries, it is a complex process.
Why is this problem important?

89% of people said booking a service with a reliable company took them more than 3 hours.

5.3 million cars are transported a year in between Canada and USA.
Now that we grasp the scale of the issue, it's evident why it's a major concern for millions of people. I've found a centralized solution to address this challenge.

TRANSPARENCY AND RELIABILITY
Communication issues and delays were experienced by 75% of interviewers when dealing with transporters.
HYPOTHESIS STATEMENT
By enabling faster booking, providing driver options, implementing a secure payment system, and ensuring constant communication and vehicle tracking, Snowbird can cultivate loyalty among its customers and offer a stress-free shipping experience.
Whose problem am I solving?
Audience
The audience for Snowbird Shipping is broad, encompassing individuals aged 18-64. This includes single people, couples, and families with children, especially those with kids heading off to college. Over 80% of users are high school or four-year college graduates, highlighting the need for an accessible and inclusive approach.
To address this diverse audience, I created personas by combining quantitative and qualitative data from user interviews with official demographic information. This method is essential for informed design decisions.
Users’ ability to navigate digital transactions varies from novice to expert, making an intuitive user interface crucial. The median age of users is mid-to-late 50s, and many are first or second-generation immigrants. All users lead busy lives, juggling hectic schedules and daily priorities, which emphasizes the need for a seamless, efficient shipping experience.

This user testing was done to make sure that both the shipper and receiver understand the entire process thoroughly and feel relaxed and confident using the app.
By going through different stages from the initial sketches to final designs, I was able to improve the user experience utilized in the app. Here is why I made certain design choices:

Overall the logo symbolizes precision, care, and a customer-focused service experience.
The blue color palette signifies reliability and professionalism. It embodies the company’s commitment to safe and timely vehicle transport. The design combines the snowbird imagery with a blend of blues.

Is my product both practical and easy to use?
I evaluated how effective each of my designs were by conducting usability tests with 7 participants, specifically analyzing 3 different task flows to assess the impact of effectiveness.
1.Register for an account and look for specific locations where you can pick up and drop off vehicles.
2. Choose the driver that best suits your needs and pay on the app.
3. Receive confirmation of payment and start a chat with the driver to confirm location and get updates of progress.
